I think it would be much easier to authenticate not per traffic but when they log on to the network ...?

Question

Hello Experts,

We have Active Directory Win2003 for all users regarding LAN authentication & third party firewall configured as a gateway firewall.

I am planning to have Redhat or Fedora as a gateway firewall.

Is it possible to import Active Directory Users from Win2003 Srv to linux and incorporate with Squid for access / deny the download requests like exe, bat, scr, src, tar etc. ??.
(Depending upon users)
