Hi everyone.
I have a question which is quite dumb but I will be most be grateful if you could help.
How can I install Suricata, with pf_ring support on Fedora 17 and get a benchmark?

Start by reading the instructions and installation guide:
http://suricata-ids.org/2012/12/18/f...uricata-1-3-5/
http://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-set...m-on-fedora-17
Also, be aware that Fedora 17 is old, and if you are serious about setting up an IDS, you need to use a server-class distro like CentOS. You're already two major versions behind for Fedora.

No, because none of those commands are going to work on Fedora. Which is why I sent you links that DO work on Fedora in my first reply.

Yes, providing you read the instructions on installing pf_ring, and follow them:
