Installing Puppy Linux on Intel dot.station PC by using PXE Boot

Hello guys,

I am trying to make use of my old Intel dot.station PC by installing Puppy Linux on it.
Here is the specification given briefly:

Intel Celeron 300 MHz processor
10GB IDE Hard Disk
128MB RAM
Ethernet Port
3 USB Ports
BIOS Version: MO81010A.86A.003.ABAZ
(Optical drive and floppy drive are absent)

So my question is how can I install Puppy on my old machine?
In the BIOS there is no option to boot from USB flash drive
but the 1st boot device can be set as Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0.
So is it possible to install the OS over LAN? My main desktop PC runs on Fedora and if I connect both the systems with a cat 5 cable will i be able to perform a installation? Help me out guys...I really want to make this old PC usable again.

I went through the following tutorial:
http://tunnel19.com/guides/pxeboot.html
but i want something more in depth because I haven't done anything like this before. I hope you guys can show me the proper way to do it. Thanks.

Guys I have also tried the hard way, i.e., removing the HDD and intstalling Puppy Linux on it by connecting it to a different machine. The first time it boots fine but when i reboot, i get the following error:

Kernel panic -not syncing: vfs: unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (8,1).

I used gparted to create a single ext3 Primary partition and installed Puppy on it. I followed the "simple mode" and used MBR to store GRUB as suggested. The installation works fine on my desktop but when I connect my HDD to the intel dot station PC, the first time it boots up just fine but on subsequent reboots i keep getting the error message. What am I doing wrong?

Get a gpxe to install from netboot.me or boot.kernel.org. I think it may be most simple.

Get a plop or slitaz cd (floppy) to boot from usb flash.

One of the most easy ways to setup or borrow a setup pxe is to use knoppix terminal server. Basically when you get a 3.3 to 5.1 knoppix it has an app to set it all up. You can simply boot a good system to knoppix and run knoppix terminal server. Then if you want you can change the files to yours. Then boot the pxe client.

plop or slitaz and some other ways to make the system smart enough to boot from a usb.

i finally found this useful link:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...t?hl=en&pli=1#

everything is easy and well written but i don't know how to configure and start a dhcp server in Puppy Linux.
also the dnsmasq is not working on my 32-bit machine. i know this is not the right section of the forum to be asking these questions but any help would be welcome. i really want to install a light weight distro on my old PC but i can't seem to find anything that is helping me. looking forward to some suggestions from the seniors. thanks.
