OK...

Well, I guess the module's name isn't nvnet.

In one of your earlier posts you indicated that Leadtek told you the mobo actually uses a Realtek chipset for the onboard NIC. Is that true?

If so, you might want to try loading one of the Realtek modules:

modprobe 8139too
or
modprobe rtl8139

(The " l " in "rtl" is a lower-case "L")

Should be there...

Hello,

I've had a reply from separate post about this issue and it turns out that I have the src rpm and I have to compile it to create the driver....

Can anyone tell me how this is done (simply)....as I have never tried this before....I'm going to check later when I get home, because I've been told I might have to install some development tools to be able to do what is required....

Cheers....

Ran.

Sorted - Get In....

I had some advice to install some rpm developement packages......so I did............

I then used the 20-4.8 nvidia tarball file and unzipped it and extracted the files.....

I then ran make and it thought about it for a min or two and then came back with no errors. I then ran make install and that also worked......I then ran insmod nvnet and low n behold it ativated.......

I reset my hostname again as for some reason it kept resetting and tried connecting to the internet. That worked fine, so I installed amsn and that is also running well......

When I rebooted it picked up the new hardware and I chose to configure it. After a couple of mins it was all sorted........

Cheers to everyone for all the help.......

Ran.
