installation in xgraph


while installing xgraph12.1 in ns2 am getting following when i entered make:
cd . && automake --foreign --include-deps Makefile
Makefile.am: required file `./depcomp' not found
Makefile.am: `automake --add-missing' can install `depcomp'
make: *** [Makefile.in] Error 1
plz help me
