Hi all. Thanks in advance for the help. Total noob issues, but I'm learning as I go... Here's the deal. I have a Dell Inspiron 4100 with Slackware 10.2 installed. When I try to connect to my LAN, the interface doesn't show up in ifconfig. I've also tried using a wireless PCMCIA card (NEC Warpstar WL54AG) and it doesn't see that either (iwconfig that is). Also, when I boot from a Slax cd, both interfaces work fine. Which tells me that there's nothing wrong with either interface, only with me and my lack of linux skills One last thing, when I was booted into Slax, the power light on my pcmcia card was flashing (indicating power..duh), but was not flashing in Slackware (indicating that the card isn't written into some obscure config file somewhere???) Ok, I'm done rambling, I'll let the experts tell me what to do next. Thanks all.
