inetd is running but netstat show no listening ports
 

Hello,

I have one problem with inetd. I have configured file /etc/inetd.conf properly then, I have restarted the inetd daemon, but the command netstat -atupn show no listening ports. File /etc/services exists and is all right. Any idea?.

Can you please post here your /etc/inetd.conf, the output of netstat -tupan and perhaps /var/log/syslog, or /var/log/messages and the distro you're using. This way we could help you better with your problem.
