Can anyone help?

I need to know how to only allow certain network services on virtual IP addresses.

ie, machine has address 192.168.0.1 and virtual address 192.168.0.2

using inetd.conf I can specify which services are avaliable, but how do I allow SMTP (port 25) on 192.168.0.2 but not on 192.168.0.1 .

TIA

Jon Dean

If you want to start doing things like this you may want to move to xinetd. If you choose to go with xinetd the option you are looking for is bind. Here is a nice article about xinetd - http://www.linuxfocus.org/English/No...ticle175.shtml
