inet not working after upgrading to mdk 10.0

hi all

I recently upgraded from mdk 9.1 to 1.0 and now my inet isnt working.
I have a dial up modem which i know is not a 'winmodem because it worked fine ander 9.1.

I am guessing that the problem is kernel related because when i upgraded the installer left my old kernel in lilo and when i boot with it my modem works fine. Below are the lsmod outputs for both my old and new kernels. Is there anythin i should have that I dont? Any other information that you require, please let me know.

thanks

ps I am not afraid to get my hands dirty but I am a newbie

try "insmod ppp"
and then resetup the dial up connection for your modem, however you do it in mandrake
