Increase speed without compromising anonymity????

Hello good people,

I just got done upgrading to Slackware 13, got my net setup with Privoxy>Tor. Everything is working and I can surf the web just fine but the pages load really slow. I know I would have to compromise some speed but this is really slow.

Can anyone suggest any ideas?

Btw, I installed and configured privoxy and tor exactly how it says in the documents.

Thanks,
sp

You can set the entry/exit node you want to use, but I don't think you can control the number of nodes in between,
or the speed from the nodes.

Ok, well what about FireFox Speed Tweaks? Can I tweak FF without having to compromise security, or without breaking anything?

Thanks,
