incoming mail


is there any way to set up a pop account on my computer. what i mean is, is there anyway that an email addressed to root@myip can end up in my mailbox?

yes, set up sendmail properly. read trhough the docs and the howtos for sendmail, or qmail/postfix/whatever if you would rather use a different MTA

all depends if you set it up correctly, if you have a specific stumbling block then ask, otherwise it should all be in the documentation out there...

well, is there a specific program out there that will do all the work for me? so that all i have to do is click some pretty buttons?

no, learn something proper. what you want to do is not a minor thing. Take the responsibilty and do it properly and learn something.
