Question imap problem

we are using Redhatlinux 6.1 as mailserver.imap-4.42 has been used for checking the mail. The problem is frequent logout occurs and even if i restart inetd ,the problem is not solved ,only when i restart the mailserver,i am able to login to check my inbox. So i updated the imapd to imap-2000-2.6 ,but my problem is not solved.i also included nowait.100 in inetd.conf for imap entry
Kindly help me to get solution.
