I have sendmail and IMAP/POP3 configured on my linux box. Mail is routed properly. However, I am attempting to utilize Outlook to gain access to my message via IMAP but the get the following error:


Task 'Checking for new mail in subscribed folders on LabSec01.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook is unable to download folder (null) from the IMAP e-mail server for account LabSec01. Error: Unable to connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

I can telnet to the IMAP port and it responds just fine. Any ideas?

It worked simple for me, anyway, Did you make sure you are entering the correct user name/pass? did u try with alternate username/pass ?

have you tried another client like thunderbird? that might help narrow down the problem.
