I've compiled courier-0.46 in my linux box to set up my own mail server. Right now my concerns is with IMAP.
I can't get to authenticate to the IMAP server, I've tried with diferent clients (Outlook, Mozilla). I'm connecting trough port 143. There is a pop3 daemon in the same box running without problems.
I'm getting poor feedback from the syslog since the only mention that apears there is
" imap service init from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx"
which is my router ip adress.
All the needed ports are open and conections allowed in hosts.allow

Any help will be apreciated

What are you using for authentication? There are many different methods as described in the documentation.
