ICS with Linux and M$ Windows
Hi everyone!
Recently I installed a slackware-based linux distro (TopologiLinux) that runs on a PC without having to create a seperate partition. I am completely new to Linux, and so I floundered a little in the begining (being an M$ user) but am now moderately comfortable using KDE and bash. What we have set up here is a Windows NT 2000 server connected to a hub which is distributing the 'net connection over the LAN. Basically, what I want to do is be able to access the 'net through that server. Would I use Samba for this? Also, doesnt Samba need the Host to be running linux? I tried setting up the internet connection at first using netconfig, but so far that has proven fruitless. I can't get it to recognize my network through that at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated! --Amberdrake |
