ICS mandrake

Hi

I need a bit of advice. My computer is setup with mandrake linux 10, 1 NIC (eth0) connected to playstation 2 and a usb speedtouch ADSL modem connected to the internet.
I used the speedtouchconf to setup the modem (ppp0) with 2.6 kernel, and didnt use the drake gui, there is no user interection with me and the modem, it just connects at boot.

In windows I installed ICS and set my playstation to auto DHCP and auto DNS, now if I want to play online I just make sure Im conected to the internet, boot the ps2 and voila.

so I tried the drake gui for ICS and it mentioned dhcp and proxies (squid).
I know nothing about networking so I need advice, Ive heard a bit about IP masquerading and heard this is easier to setup, am I right/wrong or barking up the wrong tree.

can anyone point me in the right direction for the best way to go about it.

thankyou
