ICMP/SSH filtered by admin, how to still use these protocols

Hi guys

The admin has blocked ICMP and SSH and many other protocols, which really sucks. They are filtered only for the internet, I can ping and tracert and do everything within my wireless lan. All the users in our network use one IP when accessing the IP ( the servers' ).
Admin has blocked a bunch of other protocols/programs like Kazaa, in winXP I can override this with hopster ( www.hopster.com ) and before that with http-tunnel ( www.http-tunnel.com - now he blocked it ), applications which run socks on my machine and using them I can connect to other machines using putty or secureCTR, and download music from Kazaa, also mIRC works, maybe all apps that support socks proxy work with it.

So please tell me how can I do this in slackware ?
Is there a program I should download or can I do this with iptables, or something else ?
This is the only bother now using linux

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

Peace

Stry Stunnel, ssl tunneling, works wonders.

If you are trying to reach your own box then just run the service on a different port - that shoudl do it.
