i want to know...


hi all:

i have a network with LINUX fedora as INTERNET gateway.....my manager want me to report him how many users in our network get to the INTERNET every 1 hour ( )....i'm using MRTG to view internet traffic every 5 min.
But he want to know the number of users using INTERNET during the day...

TELL me how i can do it..or is there any software to count the ip numbers that using the internet ..PLZZZZZ REPLY AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE...

One way of getting a lot of info in combination with a speed bonus is to install the squid proxy (transparent proxy).
Using the cachemgr.cgi script you get loads of information regarding web surfing. Probably more than you bargained for.

I can't think of another way just like that.
There are probably many solutions.
