I'm trying to mount resources on an XP network. I'm able to connect using smbclient but I have no 'smbmount' command. I want to be able to mount the XP shares but so far I can't. I've tried using mount -t smbfs -o username=name //server/share /mount/point like I've read in many posts around here but I get an error: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock... but I don't know what's causing this error.
I recently upgraded to Samba 3.0.2a - could that have anything to do with it?
Thanks for any help.

I have samba support compiled in to the best of my knowledge - the smb file system, right? I can run Samba, I can use all of the smb commands such as findsmb, smbclient, etc. but not smbmount.
no. I get 'fs type smb not supported by kernel' error. I do have smb support but I'm pretty sure that command should be mount -t smbfs ... I just don't know why it's not working now!
