i DONT want ssl

I dont know if i'm in the right area, so I apologize in advance.

Previously I had apache going smoothly, then for some odd reason, the pages just wouldnt work, I get a "bad request" stating "Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Reason: You're speaking plain HTTP to an SSL-enabled server port.
Instead use the HTTPS scheme to access this URL, please. Apache/2.0.49 (Fedora) Server at localhost.localdomain Port 443" so i change it to https in the browser and it works, but i dont want this for the main page! I didnt change anthing in the httpd.conf file so I dont know what happened, and it is listening to port 80. I've looked in the httpd.conf file to find the line(s) to make it go back to the regular way, but it's not there (or should it be?) I havent a clue what is going on with this. This is FC2 with apache 2.0.49

What URL are you typing in that causes the error message? Do you have any virtual hosts configured?

pcdebb 02-28-2005 05:07 PM

I am typing the IP address or the name (i have configured in my hosts file). Yes I have two virtual hosts configured. I even type out the entire url including the name of the page (index.php) and it still says the bad request. what i dont understand is getting the error and not making any changes

So what did you change on your machine?
You changed or installed something, might even have nothing to do with Apache.
