i've stuffed up my mail server with SA !!! help!!


hi there,

I've just got spamassassin, procmail and postfix working on my mail server yesterday and now I can't e-mail outside of my own network.

this is what i've done

this is the error message I get from squirrelmail when i try to send to an e-mail address outside of my network

Transaction failed
Server replied: 554 <paul_mat@outsidedomain.com>: Relay access denied

this is a line from my /var/log/maillog

May 3 13:28:10 mail postfix/smtpd[3613]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from unknown[203.47.250.138]: 554 <elisdi03@outsidedomain.co>: Relay access denied; from=<peruc.gaidan@insidedomain.com> to=<elisdi03@outsidedomain.com> proto=ESMTP helo=<mail.insidedomain.com>

Hello paul_mat,

Have you configured to postfix to relay the mails outside the local domain? Most MTAs only relay the mail in the localdomains. Also do you have any firewall settings that hinder the relaying? But according to the log, I think the relay is not setup within postfix. Please check it.
