Yea, I did that yesterday. I haven't had a chance yet to see if I can install the network drivers. I'll let you all know what happens. I'm hoping I'll be able to do it today sometime.

Hey everyone, we did it. That is to say, thank you all for your help, I'm connected to my network. I'll tell you what I did. First, I don't know if this is why it work, I reinstalled linux, then I typed in "/sbin/lsmod tulip" I didn't see any changes from doing this. However, I restarted the computer and went back into linux. I then tried looking for the network card, it wasn't there. So, I typed in "/sbin/lsmod tulip" again and tried connecting to redhat.com and that was it. Once again, thank you, you all make me feel like I made the right choice in changing OS's.
Allan
PS. I'll talk to all you again, I'm sure....

I'm not sure what your asking. However, everything you see on this page I tried before. I'm not sure if I installed linux incorrectly last time or I just didn't have the right configuration before; in any event, its working now.

Will, I'm still using it, but its windows xp. You see, I work at a job where I need to know how to use that OS very well. On other partitions I'm runing window 98se, windows xp home, and pro. I've got me on another one. But I don't use it for anything. Well, my main one now is linux. I want to do something in the linux business, just not sure what....

Thats a good question. I'm thinking thats the next thing I need to figure out. If I do I'll let you know. I've got a question! I'm running vmware on my windows system just fine, but when I download vmware for linux I have to type in this command!?; however, when I do, nothing happens. Later, after work, I'll post the command that I'm typing in. In the mean time does anyone know how to run vmware on linux?
Allan
PS. the vmware I'm running is for linux, I'm just having problems getting it loaded.

If you already have the thang installed then cd into the directory and use:
sh runLime.sh
If you don't have Virtual Machine installed get it from www.download.com...i recommend the RPM package its easy to install.
Once installed make sure you add it to your PATH environment variable.
