HUGE Drive setup: Partition scheme suggestions...

hello everyone.

Ok, I am going to put up two brand spanking new IBM servers. Here are the specs:

Dual Xeon 2.8ghz
8 gigs RAM (yes, 8 gigs)
3 SCSI 76 drives

I setup the drives in a RAID 5 setup, which gives me about 150gigs worth of space to cut up.

What I wanted is some suggestions on partition scheme.
The server is going to run either RH 7.3 or 9, have not decided yet.

The server is going to be holding a lot of scanned images, that are going to be pretty big. It will be running samba, but no user accounts are going to be created, except for admin accounts.

I was thinking something like:

/boot = 150mb
/swap = ?
/var = 1 gig
/home = 1 gig
/root = 10 gig
/samba something =

Any suggestions on this one?

You won't need 10gigs for your /root partition, when installing RHL use the server installation type and select auto partition, before you move on in the installation you can adjust the partition scheme as you please, I suggest that you keep the /boot, /, and SWAP partitions as the installation program set them.
