HTTPS protocol only, anyway around it?

I'm currently deployed in Iraq and for reasons unknown it is hardcoded into my access point that the only web sites that are accessible to me are https or port 443 sites. I'm looking for a place or a way to get around this so I can d/l source code for the various things that I'm trying to compile around here. Anything that links a file to a 80 port or anything doesn't work at all. If ya'll need anymore information please let me know.

Thanks
