Htaccess with a redirect

Hello every one. I run a website that uses htaccess. I use it to only allow poeple with passwords to enter any potions of the site. The problem is that I use another htaccess file on a different server to redirect to me site. I get access denied errors in IE, thus it wont display properly. The reason I it has to be the other htaccess file because if you type in the full url, it works seamlessly. If I could get any kind of advice into how to fix that it would be great.....
