.htaccess + ACL


Hello all!
I would like to ask you if you know how i can make the .htaccess to accept users from my linux...

hm...to be honest looks very big and complicated.. :s
i am having some users in linux lets say u1 u2 u3 and i want those users when they view the web page on apache(in same linux machine)to ask for username/password and the usernames/passwords to be the same with the ones they use in order to log it to linux console
thanks...

Apache can read passwords that are in /etc/passwd, or /etc/shadow. All you really need to do is once you have your htpasswd file is copy the user/pass from that into that.
