I've got an HP J2858B card installed in a SUSE 8.0 system, connected to a Netgear FS105 switch. The driver (hp100.o) loads without a problem, and the network comes up OK, but only at 10Mb.
I've rebooted/reconnected both the switch and the box, but so far nothing I've tried makes this card login at 100Mb.
I've taken a look through the driver parms, but don't see anything that looks like it would "lock" this card at 100Mb.
Anyone using this card and been able to get it to work at the higher speed?
Are you connected to an 802.11 switch? instead of an 802.3u switch? Most 100Mb cards these days use 802.3u.
I have been able to get a VG card running at 100Mb when connected to a VG switch. If you are using an 802.3 switch, the best you can get is 10Mb from this card.
