Howto monitor network trafic on specific port

I'd like to monitor my http server trafic and usage and log it and save logs in database. Infomation about hits per second/minute/hour is what i need. Howto do that?

If you are using apache it is probably already logged. There are a number of log analysers but I would go with awstats:

But I need some script that generates hits per second or hits per minute data to database (MySQL).
