How to watching internet conection?


I use RedHat9.
I have wireless internet connection through eth0. Sometimes I have problems with internet connection. How can I watching internet connection or is it possible to logging internet connection?

what do you mean by watch? If you mean like monitor there are lots of programs to monitor the signal strength, try wavemon. Or also gnome and kde have applets you can add to the panel to monitor the signal.

um well wavemon is pretty nice, its what I use.

Also you can configure your linuxbox as a mrtg server.

or us iptraf search google for it it's very stable and easy to watch/install.

Or, if you just want to see lots of raw network packets live for a breif time...
