How to use linux PC as cisco router

I read some articles that I can use Cisco router command on my linux box to configure the box as a router. Can any one help about that providing me some kind of doc/link?

This is an emulator that will allow you to run a Cisco IOS on a Linux box, and use it as a router..
You will still need a Cisco IOS image, which you can not download without a Cisco Smartnet account.

Or are you looking for merely a simulator to practice on for certification ?

i'd suggest looking at the zebra or quagga projects, they are a *very* close emulation of ios syntax, making the linux networking systems look a lot like ios.
