how to share mandrake cd drive

anyone know how to share my mandrake cd drive so that i can see it with windows xp?

i've got other shared folders in my home dir that windows can see, but when i try to share /mnt/cdrom (by right clicking it in konqueror) it says i can only share directories in my home dir. i tried running konqueror as root and i get the same message.

i even tried making a link to /mnt/cdrom in my ~ dir. it won't let me share that either... any advice? how do you share a dir from the command line?

edit /etc/smb/smb/conf

go to the bottom and add a cd section

note that the cd will have to be mounted in order to 'share' it. You can use autofs to do this automatically. So, you'd use /mnt/cdrom (or somesuch) and not /dev/cdrom

thank you! wow. that was even easier than i thought. i'm now installing maple 9 on my winxp machine from my shared cd. this makes me happy.
