How to setup samba client to use plain passwords

Hi *,

I use samba server that does not use password encryption (it can not be changed). How to set up my samba client (samba-client-3.0.10-1.fc3) to use plain passwords.

hi not really clear,

are you using samba both on the server and the client???

in your smb.conf file

[global]
security = user
encrypt passwords = no

So it is not possible to have on one PC both samba server using password encryption and at the same time use samba-client to connect to other samba server that does not use encryption?
