Question How to setting Redhat 7.2 as gateway for Win98


Hello,
I have install Red hat Linux 7.2 on my Intel P4 box. The problem is I have small LAN at my home and it running win98. how to configure my Linux to be a gateway for my win98 box. For your info my linux attach with US Robotic external modem. I hear heard also about IP table but don't no how to configure it. Can someone guide me to do it ? Thank you !

hello

1. do you have the right kernel? (2.4.X?)
2. enable ip-forwarding (this is enough to use the linuxbox as a router) command echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ip_forward (or so... look for it there).
3. set up iptables. ther are a lot of docs around in the net. go to www.tldp.org.
