How to set time-out of ftp client in Windows2000?


Getting error when I try to connect to linux from windows with ftp command: Connection closed by remote host.

In linux box, I can see the connection has been established.

I seach the key word "Connection closed by remote host". find the resion is the time-out of ftp client is too short.

So, can you tell me how to set up the timeout of ftp client in windows2000?

man ftpd

-t set timeout, default is 15 minutes.

when you start your ftp server deamon specify the timeout in minutes.

no ftp server

I need to set ftp client's time-out, such as TurboFtp or ftp cmd line.

now, I find anather way: add "nameserver 192.168.0.8 " to /etc/resolv.conf in linux box with ftp server.

But, do you know how to sed timeout of ftp client on Win PC.
