Question How to set DNS Settings

I just installed Debian on a computer, and in the process, I left the DNS settings blank. How do I go back in and set these settings? I believe this is probably the reason that I can't access the Internet.

Thanks,
Jesse

Open up a cl and vi/etc/resolv.conf

domain yourdomain.com
search yourdomain.com otherdomains.com
nameserver 192.168.100.1
nameserver 127.0.0.1

Then :wq and you should be able to ping by hostname.
