Yes, you can. What kind of image file? Do you mean images (JPG, PNG, etc.), or system-images (.ISO)?
NAS is just storage...what protocols does it use? Linux can easily use FTP, Samba, or NFS to attach to NAS devices. If your NAS uses one of those protocols, then attach your Linux system using one, and enjoy.
