how to remote login to linux GUI from windows box

HI,

I have linux 8.0 running as a web server and have been logging in via openSSH with a remote windows box. I want to be able to log in with the windows XP box and start up the GUI instead of having to type everything.

I typically start the server and let it run using init 3 so the gui isnt running when I log in with ssh.

Do I need another program on the windows box ? Can I start the gui on the linux server some how and still have windows read the screen like PC Anywhere ?

well, i'd reccomend first of all to run init 5 to start up so the gui is running, as for running the gui on your windows box, it depends on what you need to do, there are 2 sollutions that i can think of off hand. first there is the free way, VNC. www.realvnc.com
then there is the pay way. http://www.microimages.com/mix/ or comperable X server, although i'm sure there are free X servers out there soemwehere

VNC just might do the trick.
Theres a windows and a linux version.
