This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

hi there
u r talking about the kernel image right??
to reduce the size of the kernel image u need to compile ur kernel and then use less options compiled in ur kernel to reduce the image
to compile ur kernel get the kernel source from
kernel.org
or get it from ur distro CD
regards

it'll be tough, but you might can do it by removing most of the kernel options. you'll have to take out loads of stuff to hope to get it that small.
