Trouble mounting WebDAV in Mandrake 10.0.

I am having trouble with my mounted WebDAV directory in Mandrake 10.0. Following are the steps I have taken thus far:

1) Installed the davfs2 driver; Mandrake 10 does not seem to come with any davfs driver, though it requires it before I can enter the WebDAV section of Mount Points in the Control Center. The official (I assume) website of the davfs drivers did not offer an .rpm version of the driver (they only offer a .tar version and the instructions to install it seemed daunting to a noob like myself), but on another site I found an .rpm version that someone had made of the davfs2 driver and installed that.

2) In the Mandrake Control Center, I configured the WebDAV folder I wanted to mount, setting the mount point, username, password, and options, and mounted the drive.

Now here are the two problems I have encountered:

A) In the Mandrake Control Center again, after mounting the drive I immediately attempted to unmount it. This gave me the following error (and did not unmount the drive):
"error unmounting /mnt/webdav: Invalid argument"

B) Furthermore, when I browse to /mnt/webdav (where the folder is mounted), I see nothing. (I had previously used Windows to copy files into this folder, and I know for a fact that the files are still there and that the WebDAV server is functional.) When I copy a file to /mnt/webdav, the file is copied correctly (to the local directory "/mnt/webdav"), but this does not have any effect on the files on the actual WebDAV server.

Could this be a davfs2 driver problem? Are there some mounting options that I haven't configured correctly in the Control Center? Could this be a version incompatibility between Mandrake 10.0 and the WebDAV server I am trying to mount to?

I would greatly appreciate some help with this one! Thank you.
