Hello...I wanna know is it possible for us to monitor user's activity using command ..what i mean is..I have a server, this server function as web hosting, web mail and also a storage server. The thing is since the server is used to connect to Internet is it possible to monitor thei activity using a command.Or is there a program in Linux to do just that.
I am using RED HAT 9 as the my server OS.
Thanks in advance
Guys thanks but thats not what I want.I tried this commands before and it seems not to show any user activity at.NO to say at all ..For instance top do show something that is curently going on.What about i want the history of a user. His whole activity for the past two weeks or more.Is there any command or program that record these things for a user such as this.?The idea is like how intenet cache function..IE cache seems to have all the history on which web site a user went and so on.
I did heard that in a large organization, there is something called as load files, I mean if a user download anything from the internet, the download files have to pass through the server and will be logged in to the server log file.
