How to make e-mails stay on postfix after the client get it?

How do i make e-mails stay on the server after the client downloaded it to his computer?

this has nothing to do with postfix, this would be an imap4 or pop3 server issue. by convention imap stays on server, pop3 doesn't, but pop can be made to leave a copy behind if the client tells it to.

I will use imap.
Just one thing, i have a 80 gb hd for JUST those e-mails. I have 100 clients and i will offer 1gb for each account (yes, it's hard to compete with gmail). Do you think i should compress those e-mails using tar or something like that?

Personally I wouldn't, but i would add some RAID for that much detailed data.
