How to install vpn - client (pptp) for Linux.

Could anybody explain me, how to install vpn - client (pptp) for Suse 9.2?
I have already read pptpclient.sourceforge.net/howto-..., but I don't understood whether kernel 2.6 has GRE support. There should be the way to see, how my kernel was configured.

Code:
kwrite /boot/config-`uname -r`
will open your currently running kernel's config file in the kwrite editor (do not edit this file - it will have no affect AFAIK).
