How To Install Jabber Server on RH9


can any body tell me complete procedure for installing Jabber Server on RH9

im using jabberd-1.4.3.tar



please dnt send me links ive already tried alot..can any one tell me step by step

you can ask not to send you to links, but from what you've said we have no idea what's not working. to compile install the software from a tarball, read the stick thread in the top of the Linux - General forum. to configure the Jabber server, read the documents that came with the server.

Please understand that we can have no idea what part of your install is not working correctly, as you haven't told us, and at this stage a step by step guide, will just be pure repetition.

well im having problem in installing it...plus i dun knw how to run it after installing

i've already said "installing it" is too vague, please try to at least attempt to provide some more information. do you get a particular error? do you simply not have any idea what to do?

like i said, just read the sticky thread in Linux General forum, and come back when you have a *specific* problem.

hasnain --- just say what you have done so far and where the install error starts. It is impossible to help if we have absolutely no idea what your problem is
