cat /etc/sysconfig/hwconf

You might try a nifty gui based package called hardinfo. I believe it is in the Debian repositories.

"HardInfo is a small application that displays information about your
hardware and operating system. Currently it knows about PCI, ISA PnP, USB,
IDE, SCSI, Serial and parallel port devices."

Homepage: http://alpha.linuxmag.com.br/~leandro/hardinfo

P.S, It should be available in RPM form as well. I have installed it on a Fedora PC.
