How to find hosts that users are logged into

Hey.

How would I go about finding the hostname of a computer(s) that a certain user is logged into. For example, if I knew a user "jsmith" was logged into his machine somewhere in my company's network, how would I find out what ip / machine he's at so I can do something like pop up a xterm window message to him on his screen. I thought finger might give this info, but it doesn't seem to.

Thanks if you can help!
