how to execute "dhcpcd eth2" at startup

i have just installed a nic which is functioning properly (happens to be wireless, but this seemed a more appropriate forum).

when i boot up dhcp works on other nics but not the last one. i have to dhcpcd eth2 as su to get an ip, then everything works fine.

how can i enable dhcp at startup on this nic?

(i'm using YoperV2, and ipw2200 drivers for the nic)

thx pres

i think i found part of the problem, and it may affect other posts i have. Yoper does not seem able to get a grub installation right to save it's life.

seems that it is not mounting my /boot partition during installation, but instead has writtine a /boot directory in my / partition. since many attempted settings may have been affected by this, i am reinstalling and renaming /boot directory and mounting /boot partition as /boot in fstab right after installation.

if this resolves the problem, i'll post here. i can't imagine it could make things worse ;-). i'll keep you posted.

thx all,
pres
