How to established private network with dial up modem.
 

I would like to make connection from RH9 to Fedora over 2 phone lines.(private networking)
My modem is US robotics Courier V everything.

This is pretty old techno, anyhow its worth to know.

How'd I configure the RH9 and fedora?

I don't have the details, but in short, I think you can see your phone line as if it were a null-modem cable, so you don't need modems at all, but you have to build adaptors from RJ11 to RS232 (one of which does the "cross") for each tail of the phone line, where PCs are.

What you are saying is PC to PC using RS232 direct serial connection, am I have your pic here?
This is more older than VPN.
I did it when I was using IBM PS/2.

I can do VPN in windoze, on the other way I want to do it from LINUX.
N of course I just want to know how to configure RH9 and FC4 or 5 so I can see my LINUX box 'accross the continent' privately.

Any help?
