How to determine protocols

FC2:

I was running Ethereal and noticed some IPX SAP packet traffic. This is curious to me as I didn't expect to IPX on this network.

How can I determine which protocols are installed?

If you've got no novell servers on your network then its most likely print servers. They typically support Windows (SMB), IP, IPX and Apple printing. If you don't turn off the protocols you don't use they will sit there advertising themselves and making the network messy.
