Is it old redhat 7 or the new rhel 7?

If you're using RHEL 7, you need to be PAYING for it...if you're not, then stop where you are, and load CentOS 7 instead. Unless you pay for RHEL, you WILL NOT be able to get security updates/patches/bugfixes, and installing ANYTHING new will be much harder. CentOS is almost identical, but FREE. Secondly, why do you NEED RHEL/CentOS?? Those are typically for SERVERS, and as such, won't support things like wifi, bluetooth, sound, etc., easily...if at ALL. Loading something like Fedora will keep you in the Red Hat ecosystem, but that will support 'consumer' hardware (like PPPoE connections), MUCH easier.

And did you try to look on Red Hat's knowledgebase???
