Post How to count Internet traffic and not network traffic.

Hello,
On Debian or CentOS, how can I count the Internet traffic that I used?
Could "Nload" useful?

Thank you.

To understand your question better, could you give us examples of what you want to count and not count?

And count what exactly?
For example how many times you visited some website or how much data was used when you visited some website?

You could use the iptraf command. It has not been maintained for ages, but is still available on Debian 10. Don't know about Centos.

iptraf shows traffic counts per IP address. I don't know the command very well, but it should be possible to filter out local traffic.

Edit: Filter documentation http://iptraf.seul.org/2.7/filters.html.

Thanks.
I want to know when I'm using the Internet (Visit websites, Download files and..) then how much traffic consumed.
